I have changed my lifestyle now that I am on my Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) by exercising more. I try to walk a lot during the day by setting a step goal and distance goal. So how do I keep track of the steps and distance? With my activity tracker. Activity trackers are very popular now and there are so many trackers that I am not going to say that one is better than the other because it depends on consumer preference.
My activity tracker also allows me to follow others and see their progress, this is a great way to stay motivated because you have friends to give you an extra push to stay active.
I also lift light weights, use an exercise bike, and an elliptical occasionally.
This is the time of year when most heart walks and other charity walks occur. Please support those people in your community that are impacted by disease by participating in these walks. We had our heart walk last week and we had a successful and tremendous turnout.
